Live Music at the Shenanigans Stage
Under the Nevis Water Tower
2026 Music Lineup
11 am: MORNINGBIRD
Morningbird is a powerhouse quartet (sometimes trio) with an eclectic vibe. Multi-instrumentalists Jill Burkes (vocals, violin, guitar) and Josh Palmi (vocals, guitar) bring a rare chemistry to their performances. Supplemented by Shane Kingsland on Bass and Jim Pietila on Percussion, the band creates a seamless fusion of folk, rock & country stylings. Rooted in an authenticity that is both grounded and free spirited, their music has been described by critics as folk-Americana, sometimes offering a gospel edge or Appalachian harmonic structure. The group is string driven, performing traditional & original song.

1 pm: TEAGUE ALEXY Teague Alexy is a South-Jersey-by-way-of-California songwriter and musician who settled in Duluth and has become a distinctive voice in the Minnesota and Upper Midwest music scenes. “A buzz-worthy singer-songwriter,” according to Minneapolis Star Tribune, Teague's songwriting and music are deeply rooted in Americana after criss-crossing the country for a decade with brother Ian in their band Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank. Teague is also a short story columnist, published author of a rhyming folktale book and has side projects playing Irish traditional songs (Teague & The Paddy Wagon) and ska music (Woodblind Meets Teague Alexy). It is an ever-expanding backdrop for a profound and original American singer/songwriter. On his new album, Effervescent, Teague is backed by his longtime Duluth band The Common Thread.
